    1. When you call or come in you will be asked to fill out an intake form which will provide basic information that can be used to contact you when an appointment is available.
  7. How long will it take for me to start my counseling?
    1. If you are in a crisis situation we will make every effort to have you seen the same day that you call. From time to time, we have a wait list, however, the wait list is reviewed continually and as a counselor has an appointment time open up they will begin calling those on the wait list. Currently, we offer support groups for women, and men that you are welcome to attend. The receptionist will also suggest other options that might interest you while you are waiting to be seen.

    1. Your counselor will work with you until either you or they feel that you are ready to move forward. In some situations only a couple of session might be needed, others may require a longer period. We value the client/counselor relationship and the timing is discussed and decided together.
  11. I have some pretty disturbing things happening in my life. What kinds of problems can Anew Day counselors help with?

However if you have an issue that they feel needs more in depth counsel they will provide you with a referral list of professional therapists who would be more able to help you.
